Share knowledge
The KFA cooperates regularly with the national cinema associations AG Kino/Gilde (Cinema Guild) and the Bundesverband kommunale Filmarbeit (German Association of Non-Commercial Art House Cinemas). Of particular note is the cinema tour “Deutscher Kurzfilmpreis Unterwegs” (“German Short Film Award on the Road”), which was carried out in the years 1998 to 2003 by the KFA in close cooperation with the above associations.

Europa Cinemas
Europa Cinemas is the name of the association of European cinemas, the programme focus of which is the presentation of European film art. As experts in the presentation of short films in the cinema, representatives of the KFA’s Kurzfilm Verleih (Shortfilm Theatrical Distribution Department) are in constant dialogue with the cinema network, whose annual congresses are thus regularly visited. Supporting films from the repertoire of the Kurzfilm Verleih have already been presented there, and lectures given on the manifold possibilities of working with short films.

CICAE
At the invitation of the International Art Cinema Network (CICAE), representatives of the Kurzfilm Verleih reported on their experience as distributors of short films at the annual training seminar for cinema operators, “European Training for Arthouse Exhibitors”, in Venice from 2006 to 2010.
