The eleven short films of the short film reel “Do whatever you want” (“Mach doch, was du willst”) were the result of a short film competition, commissioned by the Federal Culture Foundation in cooperation with the KFA and ZDF/ARTE in the spring of 2006. The task was to submit film concepts, which would offer original ideas and visions in connection with the future of our working environment. The scope of interpretations ranges from satirical descriptions of the everyday madness of work to the documentation of alternative proposals for traditional employment right up to fictional predictions. The individual films of the current compilation have been invited to more than 100 festivals so far and have received numerous prizes and awards.
